STATUS OF THE GUILD / JAN. 12th MTG
We are still in need of a new President and Vice President for our guild. I will no longer be able to carry on my previous role which has included planning and organizational duties. I have other personal matters to deal with (trying to recover from Shingles, preparing for an impending move in early summer, etc. and wanting to focus on my own art endeavors as time allows).
**Since our next meeting is next Sunday, January 12th, you may just want to have a general clay day and bring your clay and supplies to work on whatever project you have on hand.
I will most likely not be at the meeting.
It would probably be a good idea to talk with members that show up about the status of the guild and what you would like to have happen this year and how you envision this being accomplished. I realize we have a small guild, but your working together can help keep it going.
The good thing is that Barb has talked with the person in charge of room rentals at the church, and we have secured the same room for 2014…but at a discounted rate! So this is wonderful news for our guild.
Yearly member dues: $30
If belong to a sister guild (ELR guild or MHPCG): $15
Cash or check made out to Pikes Peak Polymer Clay Guild. Please pay our treasurer, Bev Pressey.
Our current schedule is as follows:
- 12:30-1:00 Board Meeting
- 1:00-1:20 Monthly Theme Sharing
- 1:20-1:30 Guild Announcements
- 1:30-2:15 Demo
- 2:15-4:30 Claying Time – work on demo and/or other clay projects, impromptu demos as well
- 4:30-5:00 Clean up
Please check out our Clay Days page with info on our upcoming demos and themes (scroll down on that page, past the meeting info). And make sure to check out the blog for posts on upcoming and/or previous fun!
We’d like to thank our previous board members, Jainnie and Barb, for their work in 2012-2013.
